Prayer and cussin, for dual thermostat configuration like we have; I don't think it's possible, without pulling intake, which is why I have a good one on the IP, I couldn't get it off, (maybe could but too much like work) it was easier to order a Heath unit.

What he said, much easier to just order a new one. ESPESCIALLY if the old one is even remotely questionable.

My limited slip PMD has never given me any trouble. In fact, it has never slipped at all.

If you left a know good PMD on the IP and bought a new one to relocate would the one on the IP go bad just from the heat of the motor after shuting the motor off?

I doubt it - mainly because the PMD isn't producing any heat of its own which is the main concern.

I initially wanted to remove mine even though it had problems just to have a backup of some type...ok, I'm cheap. I'll delay getting a new prom before I buy a PMD backup.

I've decided that I could cause unnecessary costs and complications by trying to pull it. Still, it galled me to have something there that wasn't necessary.

Currently, as I drive down the road I picture the PMD roasting away and shrivelling up the way a grape becomes a raisin and I'm more entertained than when I get to drive my wife's CTS and listen to XM.

I am surprised at the post indicating that the PMD doesn't generate heat of its own. I'd have thought that's just a byproduct of a resistor doing its job. Hmmn.

He meant since the PMD was unplugged it wasnt causing any heat of it's own, so it shouldn't burn up.

I have pulled x 2 off of the pump now and it took around 2 hours each time, Manyholes I see you sent me a PM I"ll call later. It will be easier to explain than to type (I'm a two finger kinda typerrr)

That's kind'a what I was thinking. Thanks ChrisK1500.

While on the PMD thing. Please confrim that is there is no way to test these things for a good one or bad one.

Actually if you have a what works secret easy way to do it, mite be a good one to add to FAQ, it can be done 2 fingered; all the FAQ work I've done has been 2 finger method with many edits :D

Single T stats drivers come off easier than dual T stats 97+ years, more room to access fasteners on single stat models.

94 Blazer as far as test either they work or they don't or work part time, no load test for them that I know of; which is why a spare is recommended, even with my Heath mount I carry a spare just in case.

TD thanks.
That's what I thought. I think I'll get the old 1 off the old IP sitting in the shop, and connect it back, and see how it does.

That's exactly what I was implying :exactly:

Sorry. I wasn't even remotely funny there.
