Sorry if its been asked. I searched but did not find. Can you stack the EFILive on top of the VA, Edge, or other box just like you can with other hand held programmers? Or does it not work the same? Or does EFILive make it unnecessary?
thanks

i wouldnt think it would be necessary.unless you just want the gauges fro edge or one of the others

It is possible, but not necessary. Might be fun to do until you get the tuning aspect figured out, but once you do, you'll be able to make the same power as a stack.

EDIT: Also, your datalogging would not be accurate, since the harness box will alter the datastream.

Yeah it can be done. Check out this thread for details

Has anyone taken the EFILive to the track yet? McRat was running 12's with a PPE/VA stack has anyone run in the 12's with just EFILive yet? What is the most powerful/biggest tune that anyone has for the EFILive so far? Times? Dynos?

I hope either myself or Trippin will run some of the stuff I have done very soon.

If either one of us get's to the dyno we'll post the results.

Any chance you could email me some of "the stuff" to look at and play with. I obviously cannot put it on my truck but would just like to check it out. How much HP do you think your "stuff" may be worth?
Thanks
Jake

I have been working with making a tune trying to make something to stack with the Edge. After 600 miles driving it today and pulling a trailer, I think that I am on to something.

It took about 5 minutes to make an LB7 tune that was stronger all around than the edge 120. The amazing thing is how little smoke is made.. Nice efficient power.

Don't get me wrong, I've got some screaming, smoking tunes too :)

I have a real strong one for the LLY! I did a burnout yesterday and it impressed me like no other burnout I have ever done ( I have done plenty before the trans upgrade). I had to let off because I chickened out. I got out of it slow so the turbo didn't bark and when the tires quit spinning, I was going 65mph!! This is insane!!

I would be cool to make a tune that stacked on the Edge so you would still have 5 levels but the levels would be stronger/better.

Anyone working on this?

Alternately you could use the Edge just for gauges and the other features (1/4 mi and 0-60, back downs, etc.) while relying on the EFI for power.

OR with the new switchable EFI could you get 10 levels by combining with the Edge?

Piece of cake. :D

Really? So this could be used to basically put the Juice on steroids? Very nice! Now I need my trans even worse!

Here is a tune I built, you hear the tires chirp on the 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift!!!

I started with some tunes to work with the Edge but then I said to he!! with it and sold the edge. After this past weekend my truck is running stronger than it ever did with the edge (finally!) and there's more to come. Now I have to get those lift pumps.

That makes sense. I just like using the Edge's levels, guages, and cool features.

I am getting my EFIlive shipped from Trippin, anyone have some files they would be willing to share? I would like to get a few tunes for power, and economy for the long hauls I make.

I am very interested in working with EFI live, but how hard is it to figure out? This is my first diesel, so I really dont know the ins and outs, but i do want all of the options that this program gives. I dont want to dump the dinero into a program that I dont understand how to use.....

Download the EFILive software from www.efilive.com (http://www.efilive.com)
and have a look. PM me your Email address and I'll send you a couple of tunes to play with.
