I was testing out the top end with the Predator the other day and "at" redline I was going 105 mph !

I have heard several times on here that these trucks will run around 120 mph ! Is that running up into the redline pretty good ??? I can't really imagine my truck doing over about 110 .........but if I tac'd it up far I guess it could !!

I limped it a few minutes later though..........so I backed mine down from 85hp to 65hp......and hopefully it will be fine for a while !!

What rear end gears are you running?

Mine will go 256 mph!!!

(At least that is what the top speed limiter is set at :muahaha: )

larger diameter tires will alow you to go alittle faster top end

I copied these pics from a couple of the member here, hope they don't mind :)
can't remember who they were however.:o:

Even stock 245's will get you there! ):h

you may have not upped the top speed limiter in the tune, so larger tires with the stock limiter would put you somewhere around 105mph before it cut out

going into the dashed red zone is fine. The solid red zone is where you dont ever want to be. (I dont know how you would ever get there tho) Even with tuners that "remove" the speed limiter, they stop fueling at 177 km/hour. WHich works out to about 118mph. These tuners also raise the rev limiter, but its pointless; it still stops you at 118 mph regardless of RPM and raising the rev limiter does nothing for shifting, the TCM will still shift at the same RPM as it did stock. SO having tuners raise the rev limiter IMO is pointless. The only way you can go faster is to write a custom tune in EFI Live and tell it to keep fueling past 177 km/hr.

beleive it or not, in a straight line at high speeds, IMO these trucks are VERY stable. Rock solid. My truck is more stable at....high speeds... than my dad's Tahoe is at 65mph...

He preaches the true! :) The truck is very stable at that speed. Just don't make any quick turns and your'll be all set. I usually don't see that speed much in my truck (can't say that about my other vehicles :D ). It's just those late nights coming home on a long, empty highway...

Upped my speed limit to 120 on the Predator, tires are 285 BFG's, and I am pretty sure I have 3.73 gears (but I am not positive).

The picture where the one is at 120 @ redline is where I am @105 ???!!!WTF

at the beginning of the dashed redline you should be going faster than 105... especially with 285's. Are you sure you recalibrated the speedometer for the 285's?

Yeh , I changed to parameters for the tire size(because I never realized the 75 part was called the aspect ratio)...........but maybe I should re-check it and make sure it got saved !!

My window sticker did say 3.73 gears BTW !!

You can break 120 with a programmer that adjusts tire size, just tell it you have a smaller size than you actually have and the truck, now you truck will moving faster but the speedo will read 118. make sense? Your actual limit know becomes RPM and horse power.

Pictures at 120, that's nothing! Driver took this one too, 94 Viper, 3:73's and a seriously loose nut behind the wheel!
