So I took my stalling truck to a Chevy Dealer knowing full well how dealers are. First off my Monday A:M appointment means they maybe will get to it Friday but the bigger issue is the IP warrantee. They say if they determine I need an IP they replace mine with a reman. I've read here how other guys got new ones. Anyone know just how the "warrantee" reads?
Most likely I really need just a new PMD or FSD but as I've read here they replace them always with an IP as well. Should I trust a reman or just pay someone else to replace my PMD with a remote setup? Dealership is Moore in Los Gatos CA.

Is it already at the dealers, if not make sure you run through all tips in FAQ for surviving trip to dealer, if they find anything you could have found as listed in the tips, they will stop all work until those items are satisfied 1st.
GM when these 1st came out was replacing with new, I sort of recall though they have amended policy to allow use of a reman IP, which would be fine, but just make sure driver is new, no way would I go with a used but good one on a warranty IP.

Yes I did run through the list, do you think a dealer can admit it's the PMD within one hour of diag time? He said he has to see it happen which may need a ride around the block or so. By the way, although it has stalled at least 10 times so far it never stalls on highway travel...does that make any sense?

If he is sharp and familiar with the 6.5 yes, slower means less underhood airflow (hotter), so it would happen more frequently slow going IMO than at higher speeds

Think they are new. Have them show you one. There is a mfg date code cast in the side of the housing.
