I just did. And I was on road! Will they cover this under warranty?

Moved to drivetrain. Yes many people have broken tie rods. There are aftermarket tie rod sleeves available to help. Search for tie rod and sleeves or broke and you will find a lot of reading.

I would like to see how/where it broke being a brand new truck. I have some pics of one that broke on an 03 while the customer was driving down the highway.....

That truck was nearly new at the time.

my buddy with a 04 CC LB broke one last night about 2 miles into the woods.luckily carquest had 11 of the moog ends in stock. he has a fabtech 6",3bl,and 22's with SLICK 37 toyo's. im sure none of that helped the problem. it was not fun trying to get the tire straight enough to put the end back on and get it home

I would say yes, IF the truck does not have a lift kit and you aren't running a tune when they get it. Try and see. Make sure that you emphasize that it is a dangerous situation.

I am amazed GM hasn't done anything about them yet! My commuter car is a 99 nissan sentra, the tie rod's are about the same size as my stockers on the Duramax were before the Fabtech steering kit. Those chevy engineers must be on drugs!

Not as beefy as they should be.
