Got a real stupid question about a 98 6.5 - the orange wires in the pic below,to the left of the upper intake - are they fiber cables? Sure look like it to me.

they are yanking your wire.... thoes wires go to the glow plugs. fine bunch of jokers here(LOL)

Yea, Right! Fiber optics going to the glowplugs! Why is that? So the computer can see the cylinders firing huh?

Don't sound like a bad idea though. Hmmmm?

The salesman at the dealership said my truck had a fiber optic inter-repeater link to allow the various ecu and other control modules to communicate at 1000 Mb/s, fully compliant to the ATIS T1.105 Synchronous Optical Network standard.

1GHz Router with static IPs. I also removed the firewall and used the one with the router instead.
