JrTuner 01-07-2006, 06:08 PM I just tried to log data on my LB7 today and the scan tool will connect but when I try start real time logging or record I keep getting an error message. Most of the time it is the invalid mode one. I just got a new laptop and it has never worked with this yet. The tuning tool works fine on my truck. I did log data with this cable with my previous laptop. What is the fix for this? Max Power 01-07-2006, 06:16 PM Did you select the Duramax default PIDS the validate the pids? Trippin 01-08-2006, 12:17 AM 1) Be sure to always select a Duramax PID file. 2) Always validate the PIDs. 3) If that doesn't work, while in the scan tool try: Edit>Properties>Logging.....go to the right hand side of the page and there will 4 settings for logging: General Dynamic Stream-slow Stream-fast Dynamic seems to work best for me. It seems in the latest release on the EFILive website that it has been finicky for me to connect logging as well. This wasn't the case in previous releases. I sent in a bug report last week, I'm sure it will be fixed very soon. Once I connect and log using Dynamic, it seems like I can connect with any of the others. Hope this helps. :D Max Power 01-08-2006, 01:14 AM Since you are having problem logging and reading tunes it is possible that you your problem is your computer. Try a different USB port as well. bobo 01-08-2006, 04:25 AM In the tune tool: Goto the help tab at the top and click about. The Tune tool should be 7.3.1(build360). In the scan tool: Goto the help tab at the top and click about. The Scan tool should be V7.3.1(build326), OBDii V7.3.1(build471). Is that what you see? If not, please post what yours reads. Try to keep it under 20 for the fastest results. | ||
