I was wondering if anyone in here has used a TechII to increase fuel rail pressure. I was talking to a buddy at a local shop who was telling me that they can raise the pressure with the techII. Just wondering if there is any truth to that or not? Just don't need to use my truck as a test truck if I know it will cause problems.
Thanks,
Jon

You can raise it in 5% increments. You can add as much as 25% fuel pressure. Like most other Tech II commands, it is for testing purposes, and does not permanently change the fuel pressure.

You can only raise it within the specified parameters of the ECM. Additionally, I believe you will lose any dynamic control by the ECM as Special functions commands a specific pressure... Edited by: Kennedy

You can raise it to the Max, but again, its only for testing purposes. When done at idle, them motor sounds like its comming apart. Not practical value to do so unless doing it for diagnostic reasons

It doesnt sound like its coming apart, sounds like a diesel with an extreme program, and idle, I know what it sounds like on my truck, tech 2's are neat!!
