Good question. My '03 had digital dual zone and I really miss it. I would think it could be done - be really nice if it was just plug & play!

If anyone has any info on this, I'd also be interested. I would love to have digital climate!

wont work. Or at least you'd need to do huge amounts of upgrading to make it work. You'd need to put in the cabin air temp sensor (above your head), change out the ambient light sensor in the front of the dash, add temp sensors in various places in the ducts under the dash, and maybe reprogram the BCM. You'd also need a whole new blower motor assembly because the manual climate control varies blower speed with a simple rheostat while the auto climate control uses PWM (pulse width modulation) to control blower speed...different motors... Its too bad because its really the only ONE intrior accessory thats almost impossible to add if it wasnt there in the first place....

How about the other way ie. from electronic to manual?
I can't stand the automatic. Every vehicle I have owned that had that crap never worked right. Including this one.

You would probably have to change the blower motor, again because of the difference in speed control (simple rheostat vs. digital PWM). But it should work if you changed the blower motor...

I second what Ben posted. You'd have to add too many sensors and electronic modules to make the manual-to-auto change work.

Plus, after seeing what it takes to pull a dash out of a truck (Rat's old one) do you really want to get into something THAT involved?

Well not anymore! Too bad, it would have been nice. :(

It can't be THAT bad to do... I've pulled the dash in my car several times, and it's not HARD, just a little tedious. On my car, you have to take out 5 bolts along the windshield, two by the A Pillar on the drivers side, one on the DS of the transmission hump, one on top of the hump, and one on the passenger side by the A Pillar. You also have to remove the steering column, which involves removing the pinch bolt on the U-Joint, then 4 bolts that hold the column to the dash, and disconnect the wiring for the air bag, cruise buttons, ignition switch, and the shift interlock cable. Then you pull the column, disconnect the main wiring harness that goes through the firewall on the DS, and any other harnesses that are in the way, and start yanking on the dash, and out it comes. just takes two people to actually get it out since it's big and heavy.

My feelings exactly. I guess if you LIKE to tear your truck apart...go ahead.
