Hi to eveyone,
I am new to this forum as far as posting, I have been reading for about two weeks and have learned so much from everyone.
My question has to do with ordering my truck, which I ordered with my dealer about 2 weeks ago. I talked to my dealer today and the truck still has not been picked to be built by GM yet. Is this normal or am I getting the run around from my dealer now that he has my $500 ?
Thanks For the Help!!
You should have the SON (Sales Order Number) and he should be able to get a VOMS (Vehicle Order Management System) print out showing the preliminary order being made and accepted, that's not the same thing as GM accepting the order. Check this post:

It's possible that GM might not have picked up the order, but if he's ordered it, those two codes should show on the VOMS. If he says he can't get that, tell him you want the Zone rep's phone number....
Could be any number of things including that he's not ordered it, or if he has, he might not have an allocation slot for it, or GM is just really busy building Dmax's right now...
First step is to make sure it's ordered....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

Thanks Zeeb,
I have a Vehicle order number, it is HBPZ8H this is off a print out of a form the dealer sent to me. No other number is on the form.
Not sure if this is it or not...
Thanks Again..Edited by: Every Day Diesel
Well a VOMS print out will have the first two codes I posted along with dates, and the SON. The SON is the vehicle order number and it's six digits composed of letters and/or numbers so you've got that.
At least you know he's ordered it. Some here have gone 30 days to have GM pick up an order, mine was about three days. So keep checking with the dealer, if you've not gotten codes 2000 and 2500 within 30 days, talk to the Zone rep or start looking for another dealer.
Best of luck...Edited by: Zeeb

Just got a call today and GM picked it up and my delivery date is April 19, http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
Thanks Again !!!
Well you're making progress.....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
Now, should I give you something exciting to check on?
GM normally gives expected delivery dates about 30 days after build just in case there are any problems. Call your dealer and tell him you want the TPW. That can change once it's issued, but not usually, and your truck should be at the dealer about 7 to 10 days after it's built.
I guess the short way to say this is, you might have it two weeks earlier than April 19.....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
