Just picked up the truck in my sig about a week ago and am loving it so far. I've got an intermittent wind noise problem coming from my drivers side door though that I can't track down. The truck has a bug deflector and vent visors (tape kind) on it but after reading other posts I don't think that's causing it.

It only happens above ~50mph and the odd part is that it depends on how fast I have the fan running. If I crank the fan all the way up it will whistle almost all of the time. As soon as I turn it down to the second or third electronic bar (don't know a better way to describe the levels) it all but disappears. Sure I could just not turn the fan all they way up but it's kind of cold up here sometimes :)

Has anyone else had this problem? I was thinking about tweaking the door with the old knee trick but thought I'd throw this out there first.

You might want to check the cab vents behind the cab of the truck and the bed, they might be stuck shut and your cab is pressurizing with the fan on high and no where for the pressure to go but the weakest point.

Thanks 96vette. I'll check it out this afternoon and let you know if that was the case.

Just checked the vents and they are working fine. Although after looking at them it got me thinking. The truck has a topper on it - could that be forcing air down across the vents keeping them closed at highway speeds? Then the weakest point could be the drivers side door. Guess I'll have to put up with it till I get a chance to test that idea.

Did you check the front windshield weatherstrips. The GM factory bug deflector has the 3M tape to put underneath. I did not do this initially and weird things happened. Just a suggestion.
