: Tuners - Banks Six-Gun/Speed Loader vs. Edge Juice Extreme + Attitude
CalDirt 03-03-2004, 11:40 AM Hi guys.
I Haven't seen this one discussed yet, so here goes - what's the take on the Banks Six-Gun/Speed Loader vs. Edge Juice Extreme + Attitude?
I spoke w/ Banks yesterday and they said installing both would blow up my engine (which would probably be real cool if I hadn't sold my kids and home to get the dough for this truck), so I'm down to one or the other.
It seems like most people have gone with the Edge. Banks of course says their product is better, more efficient, etc, but when I asked them if they were aware of any independent 3rd party comparisons, they weren't. Edge doesn't have much on their web site comparing the two either.
Camstyn 03-03-2004, 12:01 PM dduffy, the extreme juice will blow the doors off of the Banks, the regular juice would be in the same ballpark. They were compared and the Juice won hands down on the dyno. Keep in mind that the HOT juice will beat on your transmission while the Banks and/or regular juice shouldn't be able to hurt it.
I'm swapping tuners with a guy, he's got the Six-Gun/Speed Loader and I've got the regular Juice/Attitude. I'll reply to this thread once I've done the comparison in a week or so.. Dynos don't neccessarily reflect real world performance. I'll do it completely un-biased. I bought the Juice/Attitude but if the Banks works better I'll be buying one of them and putting this up for sale.
It's going to have a real hard time beating the Juice/Attitude combo, level 5 HAULS and it's buttery smooth with as much low end torque as I had hoped for.
White Duramax 03-03-2004, 12:17 PM Duffy, from what your sig shows, you have an LLY, so I wouldnt worry about comparing them cause they are for the LB7 engine. You are going to have to wait a couple weeks as nothing is out for the LLY yet.
baimpala 03-11-2004, 08:10 AM Camstyn,
How goes the comparison? Also, any thoughts of shifting to the orange or crimson power bands on your rig and adding dual overhead radiator caps or bi-directional blinker fluid reservoirs?
Dennis
Camstyn 03-11-2004, 12:31 PM I haven't gotten around to installing my pyro probe yet but as soon as I git 'r done it's blast off time.

bartman 03-13-2004, 08:52 PM bet you didn't know that our trucks are equpped with pressure treated lumber frames, brick wall assist brakes, over-sized seat covers, high-pressure hub cabs, power crank windows, cumbustion chamber by-pass relief valves, high capicity blinker fluid, and last but certainly not least, fart absorbing seat cushions!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

You got to remember to tighten them with a left handed Monkey Wrench, not right handed, is most likely your problem....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gifEdited by: Zeeb

Also along to what zeeb said, you should get two sets of the 10-ball bearing bearings, with the aluminum extracts.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
