just wondering if anyone has or knows if you can install two thermocouples on the pass. side exhaust manifold ? i know it sounds silly , but i have a spa gauge now, and im thinkin about adding a edge juice , their for needing two egt hook ups ????
(i dont want to remove the spa because its hard wired and in the a pillar !!)
any info or insight would be great !!! thanx !!!!! the05hd :)

Some of the pyro wires can be hooked up to another lead running another gauge. I know that the Edge uses a 2 wire pyrometer, don't know on the Spa though.

You have to be careful when connecting two recievers (i.e. gauge and Attitude) to one thermocouple. Connecting two alters resistance and then messes up readings.

It didn't work worth a damn when I hooked my Attitude and DiPricol gauge to one type-K thermocouple. Why not put one in the other manifold to read both banks or put one in the downpipe to know when to shut down?

It can be done in the drivers side, it is just tighter and more difficult to install. You can try hooking both in parallel and see what the readings are. If they are what you expect, be happy. If they are not, then you need to explore a extra location, or give up the SPA. I would not put the Attitude in the down pipe. The down pipe will be cooler than the manifold. It will vary by the load on the engine and the work being done by the turbo.

Install a BD Manifold, its drilled for the exhaust temp sensor.

I have a probe on both the left and right manifold. I have the Auto Meter in the pillar and an Edge Attitude. The one on the driver’s side was not any more difficult than the passenger side was. Remove the wheel well liner and go for it.
