Congrats! You'll love it. I was supposed to wait until Monday to pick up my truck (work), but I had to ditch to pick it up Sat.

Now 10 days later, it has scratches in the bed, mud all over, and kid's junk in the back seat... But she is STILL SWEET!!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

Congrats! Our inside secret has just informed me that mine is still sitting in the lot in Flint awaiting shipping. The truck has been built for over a week now and I'm only four hours away by car. This and the fact that my dealer tells me that 0.0% is gone only blackens my mood more. Oh well, what can I do. Next time I'm going to find what I want out of stock.

I know what the ads say but GM has dropped it on trucks as of March 2! I've fought with everyone I can think of since the dealer called last night! Call your dealer to make sure its still in your region but for the north-east its GONE!

Maynard: Your dealer is probably wrong. I was told the same thing, but after a search, they found out it was still in effect. Insist on them checking with HQ.

When I say that I have argued with everyone I am not exagerating. I have called everyone! gmbuypower.com, GMAC, the dealer, other dealers, ect. Check out edmunds.com. They have updated their rebates!Edited by: maynard9089

Here is what even Edmunds is saying for my region
edmunds (http://www.edmunds.com/new/2004/gmc/sierra2500hd/100274821/incentives.html?vdp=off&setzip=14126&state=NY&tid=edmunds.n.incentivesindex.incentives.3.5.GMC*)

As much as I would like to cut it to 48months and get the zero it's just not in the budget.Edited by: maynard9089

Well, if your dealer cared about their customers, even if GM dropped the 0.0%......he would have done the paper work before the 2nd or atleast on the 2nd. If the truck was built and sitting at the plant, they have a VIN and he could have easily done that for you.

maynard9089
03-03-2004, 09:46 PM
Tried! The problem is the truck is still sitting in Flint even though it was built over a week ago. Because the plant is so close they truck it in instead of by rail. The dealer can't get at the invoice and has been trying. I was at his side. The invoice isn't available to the dealer until the truck is released to the shipper. Can't do the deal in NYS without it! I'm confident in the dealer. I actually drive past FOUR GMC dealers (about 80 miles from home) to get to this one.

Sorry, you are right. But I wonder how close the 2.9%/60 + $1000 Cash comes to the 0%/60 + no cash. If I weren't so lazy I'd do the math.

Get the dealer to give you the order code......if he will help you with the financing, I will get him the VIN tomorrow. PM me....but do it before 3:00 our time.

maynard9089

Thanks but we already have the VIN. I used it to compare to the one Howard sent me. Need the invoice.

If you have the VIN...you could have done the paper work......trust me. There are others here that have been in the same position....trust me.

All GM needed to see was your intrest in a vehicle before the end of the promotion. Did they by any chance run a credit check or something just before March 1? You could justify it with that. Not trying to flame, but he either isn't putting in much effort, or he doesn't know how.....

So if you can get a bank (CREDIT UNION!) loan for 5.5% or less, take the $2500 cash, and you will actually do better than the 0%/60.
