Looked up my VIN on subj page, and have 1 question. Under system, saw the following:

15228743N/A- New calibration to allow DIC message informing the driver that the fuel filter must be changed.

First number is part number, N/A is CVN, third is description of fix. Question is, I do not have the change fuel filter warning on DIC. Does the above indicate that it has not been flashed yet, as CVN is N/A? By the way, not even sure what CVN means. Anyone?

The reflash w/ the Fuel Filter info is being revamped on the next reflash that is coming out. The Fuel Filter info don't work correctly on a lot of trucks yet, so GM is fixing it (and messing up something else in the process).

Also, on early 05 trucks, even with the latest flash the Fuel Filter info will not show up on the DIC. The instrument panel wont support it ( so the dealer says….).

Thankful

And the dealer is always right....right?

Is this option only on 2005? I have the 04.5 LLY without this option.
