After half a bottle of crown royal I sit around thinking about my truck. After adding a tuner (now I can outrun my brother's 6.o PSD), an exhaust (to make it sound nice), Bilstein's to make it ride sweet, Nicktane (these forums made me paranoid), Toyo 285's (to avoid confusion over an S-10---they look great and ride even better), I sometimes wonder why I bought a Chevy. GM has the highest resale, and they cost the most. Dodge has the lowest resale and they are the cheapest. All that f*1@&%g MONEY, and I am finally happy. When my brother's 350 6.0 PSD, my 2500 HD Duramax, and my father's Dodge Cummins 2500 are parked in the driveway, mine looks the best. I have the nicest interior, nicest exterior. Why did it cost me so much more to finally have the better truck? Because I didn't want Dodge's 1/2 crew cab, Ford's crappy interior. Hopefully, the truck lasts me a long time with many trouble free miles because I refuse to spend the money again on the truck and accessories to make it the best.
After all of that I like my truck more than any others. Thanks for letting me speak my mind. Hopefully, after I finish my bottle I go to bed and don't decide to type anymore.

Forgot one. Had to buy my truck with no roof marker lights because that big light in the middle is so ugly. Had to order 1999 5 individual marker lights and have them installed by the dealer for a grand total of $325. I guess I am too stupid to install them myself. Back to the bottle I go.

I thought the same thing about the clearance lights but they grew on me after a while. The things testosterone makes us do.

Man, I'm sure Randy Travis or Allan Jackson could make a song out of your posthttp://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
What's that old saying?
"The only difference between the men and the boys, is the cost of their toys...." http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif
While most folks buy vehicles for just the practical purpose of transportation of themselves and/or cargo, they are definitely in the "Toy" catagory for some of us. I just wish I had the money in hand to do everything at once....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

All it takes to have the best truck is a pile of money. Once the pile is gone at least you have the best truck plus it gives you something to talk about at those family dinners. I'm sure you all think you have the best truck and who ever dies with the most toys wins.

Erik,
Put the bottle down and step away from the keyboard http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
Lets see your mod list here:
Tuner:
Adding a tuner to outrun you brothers 6.0 PSD. NO (stock) PSD or Cummins ever left me in smoke from the line when I was not running a box.
Exhaust:
You would have had to do this any of them.
Bilstiens:
Nice but not necessary, it still rides better than F*rd or D*dge stock.
Nicktane:
Good insurance but there are 1,000s of Dmaxs running w/out a second filter and doing just fine.
285’s:
Personal preference, that again, you would have had to buy if you bought one of the other two brands.
Stop crying in your Wheaties and just enjoy the damn truck. You would be over at the other forums crying about I should have bought a Duramax, and it wouldn’t take you ½ a bottle of Crown to realize that.
(Please note this is all in jest and just having some fun with the inebriated)

Sorry just finished it. Packing my bags for Vegas...guys only. I will drink a big one to all of us diesel drivers. I hope the park and ride lets the glow plugs warm up before they start it. Viva las vegas.
