I got these lighbulbs made by Phillips because of their name:) ! They lasted all of 3 weeks in my garage:mad: . Replaced and had about the same luck w/ the second set. DuraMax lightbulbs are the worst!! What do you guys use for bulbs in your garage?

Yes those bulbs burn out very easily.. Might want to consider just regular flourescent bulbs. Cheap Home depot brand works good..

I bet your truck put a spell on them because it didnt like having its name copied!

In our garage we just have two little incandescent fixtures, but in our shop we just use various types of 8 foot flourescent el cheapo bulbs. I think most of them are Phillips, some are GE...all Cool White.

I bought GE halogen 100W bulbs for my shop 10 years ago. I've burnt out 1 out of 12. Amazing.

Hurts just to read that!

Sucks they had to use that name. We tested a lot of bulbs a couple years ago and it appears that Phillips seem to handle the greatest voltage deviations before burning out.

I have been getting away from flourescent bulbs in my garage. I have been putting those 10 dollar halogen flood lights up in the rafters that you get from Home depot. When you hit the switch you have light, I haven't burned one out yet. Of course after posting this I will probably have to go replace bulbs.

I bought fluorescent fixtures from Home Depot that have the cold-starting capability and they work great. Each one has four T-8 bulbs in it and my shop is very bright with no shadowing. I think I paid $20 a piece for the fixtures and the bulbs were about $15 per fixture. I am very pleased with the results.

Salvaged 4 2x4 drop ceiling lights from a demo we did 10 years ago. They all still have the same tubes.
