I run Royal Purple in my truck everywere but the engine. I run Delvac 1 in the engine. I buy mine from NAPA and I think they are about everywhere so you could look at your local NAPA for prices.

why do you not run it in the engine?

I guess that would be the fear of the unknown. I know Delvac1 is one of if not the best diesel oil available so that is what I run. The motor is fairly expensive and the other parts are just average priced. It would be interesting to see what someone who runs it in their engine thinks of their motor oil though.

I have used Royal Purple in race cars for years. It is a good, high quality lube/oil. If I were you, I would go ahead and carry it as there are limited places to get it. None of my Napas down here have it.

I used Max-Gear® (http://www.royalpurple.com/prodsa/mgeara.html) in the Front and rear diffs and Synchromax® (http://www.royalpurple.com/prodsa/scmax.html) in the tranfercase. I do not use the motor oil, instead I use Delvac 1, since it is easier to get locally. I ordered the Royal Purple from JEGS.
