Good work Ross! You guys rock.

The LLY guys are going to have a lot of fun with this.

For anyone on the fence, don't give it another thought. This is hands down the ultimate tuning tool for the duramax.

Is this for stock motors or only if you have beefed up your truck?

This is for anyone with either (Or both) the LB7 or LLY. It doesn't matter if everything is stock, or you've done a few things to her.

Hats off to Paul and Ross! Now, for you guys still trying to decide, GET OFF THE FENCE! EFILive offers all the capabilities that the current tuners offer plus much, much more. The roads are finally drying up around here and it's time to play, sideways at 60 mph on wet pavement was fun at first but gets old quick while trying to dial in more power! :ro)

so for people like myself who havent been around here that long and are ignorant on the subject is this like other tuners where you buy and plug in or is it something you buy and down load ?

No, you actually get a programming cable in the mail. Updates are done by downloading. This is an update basically.

Yes.

If you are not capable of tuning yourself I suspect there will be people sharing nice low hp (under 100hp) tunes for free that they wrote themselves.

would you say it is as safe as Edge for detecting slippage? you have to write your own programs and they just supply the ability to do that correct
I looked through their web site and thats kinda what I gathered .
and happy new year

This program will not protect the edge as far as slipage once you are beyond that point. Correct you have to write or share programs.

EFILive is also a very powerful scan tool for monitoring data as well as clearing codes. Access to over a hundred different parameters.

I'd suggest sending email address via PM to avoid spam...

Need to start a new thread with programs only. Can this site host that Chad?

Is this a bad idea?

I do not think that this site will be hosting any tunes.

The Major tuning companies are already having fits over this software.......

I am sure that tunes will be shared via email, but don't look for any public hosting of tunes in the future,

Does the EFI moniter the transmisson and reset taps and so forth like a tech 2?

Max Power

It doesn't rest taps, yet ;)

When it can reprogram body modules and reset TAPS and fast learn, I will be able to sell my Tech 2!! I cant wait...it will be nice to have ~3,000 dollars back in my pocket!

You LLY guys are going to love this. I have my EGR completely shut off....no more fingers stick or blocker plate. Just simply tell it not to come on. My next feat was adding some boost to my stock tune to get a similar response as a boost stick. It worked great!! I have a bunch more MIL indicators turned on than stock. If my truck 1093's...I get the MIL...no more surprises!! There is a lot of added safety in having MIL's come on, and they are easy to clear. Stock or modded, EFI Live is an excellent addition for any Duramax owner.
