I have not posted to forums before. However I have read many entries on various topics. Thought I would enter some info related to many posts I have seen. I have not found much info on my PSD so I will post what I know and continue.

I have a 2004 Excursion Limited 9200 GVW with the 12500 tow package. It gets (barely) 16.0 MPG on hi-way and averages about 14.5 not towing. I now have about 10,000 miles on it. Mostly light load and hi-way miles.

Turbo really sings and can be heard inside while driving. I carry many people around when traveling and all are very impressed with the awsome pickup and power it provides. It rides comfortably but stiff compared to any gas vehichle I have driven.

Several pickup trucks have admitted degeat against it in informal jousts from a traffic light and even gas engines seem to be little match. Of course this is not a burnout type of challenge.

Oil filters and fuel filters are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE and should be about $6.00 not $35 t0 $80.00 as they are.

I hate the painted front grill and bumper due to rock dings but have had no problems with it running wise after the dealer made a change to the computer settings a few days after I accepted delivery of the vehichle.

I have towed a trailer with a load of about 4500 lbs and was amazed with the ease in which it towed, scarsely noticing hills and never needed to tow button at all.

I wish I could improve fuel milage but otherwise the vehichle and the PSD are fantastic.

I have a lot to learn about diesel and am looking into chips, cheaper/and or better filters, and will soon be towing our 10,000 lb. 28 ft travel trailer.

I also wish the trailer battery charge through the wireing did not require the vehichle be running to share the battery with the trailer.

I guess this sums up a brief description of where I am at right now. Will respond to forum posts as time permits and I am knowledgeable enough to share, and will post on a webpage more info very soon.

I am grateful for the opportunity this and other forums have given me and their invaluable-priceless help I have received from them. Thanks to all posters who share their wisdom with the world of users in need.
