Any one know if a 1993 4l80e and 1995 4l80e are directly swapable? IE: is the electrical connector[s] exactly the same, also are the cooler line fittings in the same location? I located a factory reman for a 1993 for a good price and debating if I should pick it up for a spare , mine is pushing 350,000 miles. I've read about different elec connectors and cooler line relocation among model years but cant remember where I saw the info. TIA:)

Big change was in '97, that's when they moved the rear cooler line. The reman will have the updated internal harness and plug right into your '95. Your main concern is the extension housing and output shaft length.

IN 94 GM CHANGED THE FORCE MOTOR AND SPACER PLATE IN THE VALVE BODY, The newer motor runs on a different pulsewidth than the older trans and It will not work due to your pcm not being capable of the change. Ask the seller If It has had the upgrades gm introduced on 94 and later trannys

Can I use my old valve body and force motor? It is a Goodwrench Transmission, appears to have been remaned in 1998,was installed for a short time in a 1993 one ton turbo diesel. Planning to use it in a 1995 3/4 ton turbo diesel hopefully? TIA

I believe the parts can be swapped out for each other, I have never done it so It would be wise to consult a service manual or good tranny guy.

Use the reman valve body and force motor as is. They are updated and will retro. You do not want the early parts.
