I have spent the past 3 hrs on one side of my 03' 2500HD trying to install Timbrens in the front. It's supposed to take about 10-15 minutes per side, whereas it's taken me 3 hrs to get absolutely nowhere.
Here's where I'm at: I pulled off the old bumpstop and pulled off the wheel/tire. Now while trying to install the Timbren with the included washers, I can't get it to go in. It has to be the tightest ever space to work in. Do you have to remove the lower shock bolt? If so, how does it go back into place? This thing is driving me insane! :help2:

Something is not right. It only took me about 15-20 minutes each side. Did you try steering the brake/caliber left/right so you'd have more room to work on?

I had a little trouble with mine, I think my problem was caused by the wedge throwing the angle off. I ended up using a long extention with a short socket and getting them started that way. I removed nothing to get them on, and let me tell you my wheel well was full with a light, my fat head, and hands:eek:
You did make sure that the bolt will start into the timbren itself?
good luck

I ended up with the same problem. Because of the angled washer, the bolt was going in on an angle, and therefore making it that much harder to screw in. I got it though, with the help of a friend with small hands! :D
Thanks guys...Be safe tonite!:drinking:

They stiffin up the front end some and also keep it from sagging when you add some weight like a plow because they are not as soft as the stock bump stop's.
