Offroading hard at the dunes in 5x5 on edge, ran great. Quad roosted me and I went after him and it limped. Seemed to make it home ok after it sat. Got back out there this mornign on the beach and I Would floor it in 2x5 and 3x5 and i would BARELY speed up and smoke would POUR out the tailpipe, like it was lugging. Check engine light is on, havent read the code yet. ive limped the tranny 3 time that I know of. Truck is scheudled to go in for alift with 40" tires on Wednesday, so I figure I just need to put in a new tranny. Im running edge right now, would like to be able to run on 5x5 if wanted, AFE Stage 2, no cat or muffler, and am going to be stackign on another chip once lifted. So I need a pretty decent tranny. Not sure if i want Suncoast or ATS yet, and what Stage. Anyone have some ideas? Also, does anyone know if either company does any sort of partial sponsorships? Vehicle will not be a DD, show truck attending shows on the West Coast so there will definately be exposure. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

Update. Vehicle will hold every gear only when I Start out from a stop (IE Starting 1st gear.... shifting all the way up. ) If I Slow down to take a turn or anything like that and it downshifts to 2nd or 3rd gear and then accelerate, I BARELY accelerate and smoke POURS out of the exahust. Doesnt matter if I have T/H on or not (locked TC). Does this mean I blew my torque converter? When I Start from a stop it cycles through every gear fine. Doesnt matter if edge is on or off.

Any ideas? I need to know whats going on so I can get a new tranny within the next 48 hours. Thanks

Would it just pour smoke from a burnt tranny, kinda sounds like it is injector oriented?
