Is it possible for the tranny to limit the power to the motor even when it hasn't set the check engine light. My truck is a complete dog and when I first put the programmer on with the stock tranny it ran great. I thought the tranny was acting up so I upgraded and the truck still runs horrible. We put a scanner on it and it shows commanded torque and another torque at 48600 or something close. Does that sound right. It only changed by 300 when we went and drove it. I think it was showing TCC slip at 90 something percent. The tranny has 200 miles on it and the truck runs just as horrible as it did before the rebuild.

UMM.. Change your fuel filter, get a lift pump,
Describe horrible... We're going to need more information.
The trans can send a message to limit torque. Shift Energy Management SEM
Normally not in steady state conditions though.. only on shifts.
Does it shift normal?

It shifts different every time. I checked the injector balance rates and they are within spec, put a new fuel filter on today, the fuel pressure is good(around 24000 stalled up agaisnt the brake), boost is 27 lbs if I stall it up against the brake. I am not sure what the deal is. Also in reverse the truck has instantaneous throttle response (just like it used to in the forward gears). This problem really has me perplexed, the truck went from being able to boil the tires at 35mph and also coming out of the hole like a Z28, to running like a chevy citation. If you nail it in drive it takes forever to spool the turbo then it seems like it just hits a wall.

Tried reinstalling your PPE?
You sure there are no trans DTC's?
Smoking any shades other than coal black?
Check to make sure you don't have a crankcase full of fuel. Seems like when you put the power to it, they start leaking into the crankcase.
I don't see why the trans would be causing this.

No fuel in oil. I have reinstalled the PPE, I will check tomorrow to see if it set any trans dtc's even though the light is not on, black smoke is the only color I have seen. Also it runs the same totally cold as it does warmed up. I have never heard of anything like it. I just hope I figure it out soon. It sucks to have 5 grand tied up between programmer and tranny and the truck run like crap.

Something is not right in your tranny. I wouldnt look at the engine start with the tranny.

I loaded the stock program back in the truck and reset the taps on the tranny and it works great. I haven't tried to run a power program again yet. I might try tomorrow and see what it does.
