Does anyone know what that wide spot is in the exhaust right after the pipe turns down under the fire wall. It's about 8" x 8". Hopefully its not some wierd looking cat converter since I'm not suppose to have one. :mad:
I'm thinking some sort of resinator??? Wasn't there on the 02.

Yes its a cat...04.5 LLY-LBZ all have them and its the huge round thing.. see the link in my sig about Front Pipe Install and it has a picture of it.

The 02 did not since it was a different motor, had no emissions equipment.

Hmmm, Thats not good news and it definitely has to go away. I guess I can expect to throw a code if removed. Never been through a cat removal but I would think if it throws a code then it must be causing some amount of back pressure.
