Ok i start my truck up this morning and it was idle was normal. then like 10 seconds later the idle dropped down so fast that the truck almost died sittin there. after it dropped down the truck didnt sound like a diesel anymore. i started to drive it and it wasnt putting out the power that it should, something didnt feel right. i went to the gas station to get some smokes and when i started the truck there it sounded fine. i started to pull out of the parking lot and then the check engine light came on and then the truck was really not driving all that well. its only got 5000 miles on it and nothing done to the motor. not that it matter but i only put rims and tires on it. anyone have the same problem or possible know whats going on. thanks

Since it put on the Check Engine light, you need to find out why the light is on and get the codes read. Other than that, a real WILD guess is ... it's the tires.

when is the last time your fuel filter was changed? Try to go to an AutoZone or something to get the codes read... BTW I have the exact same truck as you! Black 05 CC/SB with 18" Eagle 114s/BFG 285s!

check the fuel filter, it only takes one bad tank to clog it. these high pressure systems are really tempramental. a dealer can to a differential pressure to let you know or you can just replace it to see if that clears up the problem. good luck

Ok, I put these two threads together for you.

What do you mean the program module unprogrammed itself??? You say that fixed it and then say they heard the same thing during test drive?? Confused..

to be honest with you i dont know what that means. the tech reps at chevy told me that and that they were driving the truck to make sure that the truck was learning the new "program". then he left me a voicemail saying that they heard a knocking noise while on there drive and that they were going to keep my truck overnight. im just as confused as you are.
