At one time I used a field repair truck with basically a regular truck bed but it had storage compartments similar to this picture.

The thing is Im interested in something like this, but near a normal size bed to tow a 5th wheel. Needless to say the sides will be shorter and the storage cabinets will not be as wide. Using the width of the 5th wheels the length of the bed though would give me extra storage.

Not sure if Im going to do it, just curious if anyone had a good line on something like this.

The bed you are describing that you used before, was that one of the Royal sculpted truck bodies?

I almost got one of those when I was looking at a 3/4 ton truck.

I looked on their website, and didn't see them anymore, I wonder if they are still making them.....

Well Royal used to make the sculpted utility bodies, as close to a regular bed as possible, considering they had doors on them. But when I looked up that website, all the pics were gone, maybe they aren't making them anymore.

Low profile like this? The last job I had was with an irrigation company, most of their service beds were knapheides. There was one service truck with a Reading bed, I liked the knapheide one myself.

Now Im mad, I saw one on Ferd yesterday driving to the Oklahoma Football game but I was in the HOV lane doing 70 and he was in the third lane over doing about half my speed. By the time I saw, told my passenger to read it, we were by him. :mad:
