where are you from?
go to duramaxracing.com look at all the mods and open up the wallet to get started.
My recommendation would be to get your setup done first, hitch, rollpan, trac bars, blocks, weight bar then worry about power.A well setup truck with less power can beat a poorly setup one with more power.

Hey Roger, I am glad to see you on here, maybe you can livin things up on here. I was wondering what you had for hp compared to gotjuice, tomac and some of the other guys on here. I saw you at Edon Daze and I was rooting for Rick from dave's Diesel, but you flat out haulled ass that night. That truck is one pullin SOB.

I am from Edgerton BTW. Nice to see some locals on here.

most pulls that allow hanging weights state that the farthest point of the weight can not exceed 60" from centerline of axle but I have never seen that teched and have seen some questionable set ups, hitch height is usually 26" but there is sometimes different heights so its important to make it adjustable.

You tell me! first class he looked pretty small in the rear view mirror. Second class where he could use nos I still was ahead of him and I screwed up at the end and downshifted accidently (a little nervous) Give me a call!! Need more Duramaxs pulling next year:ro)

Did'nt mean to sound like a arrigant SOB in my last post. Just my main goal was to beat him every time out last year. Rick helped me out Quite a bit my first year But guys like Tomac and BigD Have taught me so much more than he could. A lot of people on here don't like Rick, they think he is a cheater. I wonder some times myself. He has always came up and talked to me and is well known around here for having a good running Duramax. But if you want to take it to the next level, listen to Tomac, BigD,and all the other great guys on here. You will learn a lot and always get a HONEST answer.

Steve,
I would definately do a tranny. With the power you are running the ally won't last long pulling it. As to the other stuff, it depends on if you want to start in some of the lower classes. I don't have a weight bar or special hitch, or trac bars yet. I pull in the local pulls and only in the modified classes which is a notch below what Tomac and the like run in. I haven't won but have placed as high as 4th out of 20 trucks. I have fun pulling and oneday hope to have more to bring to the dance! Good luck and have fun.

roger, are you related to zane? anyway off topic i bought cattle from him.

i never knew if he was cheating or not, i really don't think he would.

i really don't know you much roger, i just know that rick looked small in your rear view mirror. i was hoping you would make it to the fence at edon, you were just inches from taking it out the end.

i don't have a dmax, cuz i am in school. my dad has one 02 lb7 that i would like to pull at edon, but he is scared of the tierod ends breaking as rick warned him that they would. he has a 165 quadzilla right now and i would like to pull it. if you could help me out i might be able to put a little money into it, but i don't have much money and you have to pay to play.

Roger will help you, I will help you other dmax pullers will help, daves diesel will take your money without giving you the results you can get elsewhere nor does he have the best advice for a dmax, he tends to get his but whipped outside of his local area even when running adders. I will see about getting Roger some tierod sleeves to get to you so you will not have to worry about that next year in your hometown pull.

tie rod sleeves and strapped or upgraded centerlinks are what i have read to be a major item on the list. my question is im still kinda confused.....if u have tie rod sleeves and upgraded centerlinks do u still drop the tbars or hang weight or can u just go as you are and not break anything. I have a friend who thinks his dodge is the best thing since the dollar menu at mcds but wont pull it. i got nothin against dodges but he always talks smack on the duramax and i want to prove him wrong):h and i sure and heck dont want to look like a fool when i get out on the track lol

much like u im gonna be gettin in the pullin somtime soon. ive been checkin a couple dmaxs to buy, since im still cruisin my halfton, out where i live and have been gettin ideas:ro)

Yes you still have to drop the torsion bars so that the cv joints are as close as possible to being straight. Just like a u-joints, cv's get weaker as the angle increases. When the cv's are kept straight, they are almost indestructible. Add a little angle or bend a tierod, and they go boom!
