Resonators are used to cancel out sounds/vibrations. It's just a refinement. They're commonly used on exhaust systems. The '01 Dmax didn't have a resonator so that should tell you something. Also, most HP hungry types prefer to hear turbo or exhaust sound/music so one could imagine a resonator to be less desirable. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
