: TTS Race program

I have had the TTS race program (120hp) for a week now and I must say I am very pleased with it.

I am just amazed how cool the EGT's are I think its at least 200 deg cooler than juice/attitude. What is also shocking is the lack of smoke, as much as I try I can't get it to smoke. As far as power goes it feels very strong mid to high on the rpm curve, where the juice felt stronger on the low end. Truck feels very smooth and I can run it like that everyday without worrying about excessive EGT's. The other plus is speedometer is raised to 125mph, so no more "brick wall" at 96mph http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif. In addition to that TTS calibrated my tire size as well so the speedometer reads correctly.

Great product http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Up.gif

Diesel 5,

My sentiments exactly - I've had the TTS Powerloader for a couple of months and am very pleased as well.

Of the three tuners I've owned (Predator, Quad 165), it's the quickest yet 0-60 & 1/8m, but the two things I like best are its stock-like behavior in normal driving in either 80 or 120hp settings, and smooth shifting as you toggle on-the-fly through the 25, 80, & 120HP tunes - hasn't missed a shift yet in over 7,000 miles.

stack the edge 145 on it and hang on........not for stock trannys. The 120 is the way the truck should have been from GMhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif Edited by: sdaver

Dave, with the Edge stacked, how does it compare sound-wise to just the Edge or stock? I'm pleased with the Edge, and don't want to make it more noisy if it's a bad stack in that regards.

Also, what do you guys think the 120TTS + Edge 145 would net you power-wise (average guesstimate)? Doug, I see you ran the TTS+Edge at LA, and it looks like it only netted 20 or so... Diesel 5, I see a TTS/Edge stack basically netted you nothing (ran highest on just the TTS?).

Thanks.

Joe,

I only ran the Edge while on the dyno and didn't get to run around on the street with the stack, but from what I heard the Juice helps fill in the bottom end of the power range.

I'd love any additional power down low, but not at the expense of more black smoke. I think TTS programmed the 120 the way it is intentionally, delivering only modest gains until some boost is built.

I agree , NO excuses here

but don't forget that we ran the truck without a lift pump. The UPS guy should bring me one on Monday & we will see if it makes a diffrence.

Doug,

What were your 1/8 mile times???

I plan to go to Irwindale speedways on Thursday.Edited by: DIESEL 5
