Does anyone know if there is a company making a bracket to lower the nerf bars to make it easyer to to get in with a lift on the truck. Wife wants-em.

:help:

No idea if anyone sells something like that, but I would think you could use square mild steel tubing, couldn't you? Maybe pieces 2" square x however long you needed??

Another trouble spot may be where you'd find longer bolts, though.

On Edit: I thought about this last night....this way may cause a noise from the pieces rubbing together. You may have to weld the extencions to the bar brackets to eliminate the one rubbing point. I don't know where you'd find 12-13" Grade 10.9 bolts, though.

you can find 12-13" bolts at any fastener store such as Fastenal. look in your area for suppliers of industrial hardware and fasteners. Especialy if you have a lot of assembly places. You might pay a pretty price for 2 or 4 bolts.

Oh and not to be picky, but 10.9 are metric so the length would be 304mm long for a 12" hex head cap screw (bolt). Grade 8 would be the SAE material equal to 10.9 (sorry i am in the bolt biz)

Wow, I'd just order them from this guy, he already knows what you are looking for.
