Just got a 2006 crew cab lbz under the christmas tree. My sweet wife had 285s put on it and i am going to turn the bars to level the truck. My ? is does the truck need an alignment after i do this?? Thanks! :)

That must be one huge tree you have for the Dmax to fit under. ):h

The dealer went 3 turns on the t bars and aligned her. I went another turn and a half. I will take it in on tuesday just to make sure. I love this thing. Makes the 05 dodge cummins just plain feel like crud.

Can you have your wife put an alignment on? Did she know what she just got herself into?

I was told it is hard to align properly with the bars cranked too much? I know hundreds do this to clear 265/285s but i was wondering if there is some merit to this or if the shop just didn't want to lift my truck a "rigged up" way.

Thanks (sorry if this is hijacking the thread)

Smoke Show,

I cranked my up just enough to level the truck (about 2 inches) and the guy at the shop told me if I went much higher he'd have a problem aligning it.
