Did some testing today, unreleased tunes.

Tried the New Quadzilla Stealth Tunes today at the Dyno at Unlimited Motorsports & Paint, South Windsor, CT.

Once again a big thanks to Eric and Chad/owners and Joe for the Tech II.

Rolled in the afternoon, Mackin was there to bust balls.

Sorry I cannot display the charts......the run files can be viewed with runviewer v7.0 but I cannot save the files as a JPEG or Bitmap to display here. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

Anyway the new tunes are a 50/70/90/110/135 tunes.

All tunes numbers posted are corrected using SAE standards with Dynojet runviewer.

The Dyno's software must take other factors into account when calculating the numbers because these all displayed lower than the actual runs put down for HP and TQ when I opened them at home on the PC.

I will see if I can get the Dyno's files as displayed at Unlimited in a JPEG or Bitmap to display here. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

My baseline today was 245HP/412TQ SAE Corrected.

Ran the newest 215HP version 1.19 , a modest few HP gain from the older version 1.10 tune, I had ran that one on Tuesday night and then again on Thursday night.

Made at least 25-30 runs in the past couple of days.......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Don't ask.........I sure don't know how either. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

The HOT OJ is pushing it too it's limit right now.......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

I blow thru the converter and throw 0700 and 0735 codes whenever I screw around too much, which lately has been daily.

The upgraded tranny will be coming soon, not soon enough though.

When I get it I will know what I have been missing..........http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif

Don't know what upgrade you are doing, but i bet your C3's And C4's are toast. I suggest you have the Ally pulled all the way down(have to, to see C4's anyway) Have pistons checked for tension in bore, if too loose they need to be replaced.

When you guys start limping(throwing MIL light on) the trans, you are doing severe damage. That puts you beyond a shift kit for a fix. Remember the old saying "keep it in your pants"

Mike,

Yes I know, damage was done last year, but yes I will be going thru the entire trans.......not just a simple replacement of clutches and a TC....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Thanks for the advice, I knew that eventually the time would come, the Allison still shifts like new when running stock...........I am just waiting for the 36K miles to arrive, then no more GM warranty.........so no more dealer trips, even for oil changes and unrelated warranty stuff, then I can really do some MOD'S. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

Nick has the run files, except from Saturday.........you got a a scanner and color printer ?????

I will e-mail them to ya......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

They show low hp/torque when viewed with runviewer ,even my old runs from when you were up in CT, unless my version of viewer sucks......maybe you can display them properly with your version.

Hot OJ always netted 720 +++ RWTQ, when I veiw the run I get 680's or so, they are showing a 6% difference from the actual runs made.

Plug in the cable to the tuner...

Plug the other end into the OBD port....left of the steering wheel under the dash...by the brake release lever.

Turn key to on position...do not start.........

Follow on screen instructions.....

That's it.........

We can't get back in touch with you.

To reset the transmission it should offer you a choice before you tune your engine. If that is not doing it for you let me know.

Like I said, the 165 has not been revamped.....yet. the 135 feels so good because of the instant torque. We just basically gave as much pedal feel and low end torque as we could!

The higher tunes are harder to do as much with and keep the driveability. We have been working on the smaller tunes for quite some time. I wanted to do the best we could without sending out new tunes and causing even more porblems, like some of you have seen from other manufactures in the past. Whe we do the 165 updates I will keep you informed.

So is the new 135 tune just as strong as the old 165? Sure feels like it but I havent run it a full 1/4 yet on the 165 though. No limp on the 135 http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gifEdited by: silvermax

The 135 is not as strong as the 165. The new version "feels" really strong, and it is, but it is not that underrated!

I do have a question, is there any way you can get the Hot Juice chart on the same rpm scale as the rest of the charts? At first glance it appears that it has am incredible torque band, and it is good, but if you look at the chart the rpms are much more spread out. Find a particular torque # and then see what rpm they hit that number at and when they go below it, like 650 ft lbs. You will see that on a small er chart it is much narrower than it appears.

Not trying to start anything, but I think it would be a better comparison on the same scale.

Can the 135 be used with a stock trans?? I have been running the 90 juice for over a year so the trans should be close to ready for more. The new quad tunes sound real nice and I'm seriously thinking about them.

Another question is can the stock tune be returned for trip to the dealer? And if not can they tell the program has been modified?? This is one reason why I like my old juice, but the quad sounds a little too good.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Thanks,

I've ran mine on the previous 135 tune with no problems, but I don't hammer it all the time. I've never limped or zinged my stock alli either. I have seen several others post that their experience is the same. I think it really depends on how hard you intend to push it. I have the 165 tune but don't plan on running it until I get the alli upgraded.

It takes only minutes to return to stock and then I believe it is un-detectable that it was ever on your truck.

Depending on how you run the truck with the 90 hp, and how the tranny was built in the first place. The old 135 Stealth will eat my tranny for lunch, but others claim they can run the 165 Stealth.

The dealer can see what they want too. Meaning, if they spend the time and know what they are doing, They can see that you have been pushing more power. Do not think for one minute that any (no matter what the dealer/manufacture claims) type of power add on can be totally hiddin.Edited by: hdmax
