Anyone else have a sort of groaning noise when in gear and moving from their motor/trans? I though it was a exhaust noise but the more I listen it sounds like its comming form the trans. Runs and shifts fine its just annoying, its not a whine but more of a resonance sound as you get with an exhaust system, sounds like its comming from the front left but who knows.

Mine has a very low-pitched groan, growl, or whine (it's really too low pitched to be called a whine though). IF yours is the same as mine, it's the pump in the trans. It's always there, but I think it's more noticeable in the '06s because they are so much quieter than the older models.

Mine has pump noise also. cold weather will enhance it cause when tranny is warm it quiets down.

TubeKing,
Does the noise happen at about 45 MPH? If it does it may be the heat shield over the turbo.

The noise I am hearing is about 45-55 miles per hour and as soon as I step on it a little more it goes away. I never heard this on my lb7's.

No, Mine happens from a crawl all the way up to 60-70 then the road noise drowns it out. Im gonna put it in N today at speed and see if it goes away. Also called summit today and they said the BD pgmrs are now 431 + SH. Last week they said 389, oh well screw'em many new tuners comming out soon ill bet. BTW on the noise temp does not seem to make a diff.

I have an lb7 and have that noise around 55-60. I just turn up the radio.
