I am looking at getting the Kennedy's boost modifier but was wondering about the results and also do I need the exstension or not. Because when I hook it up, I don't plan on unhooking it till it goes to GM, if that is ever needed. Just want to know if it can be put in without, $40 savings without. Let me know, I have an Edge with other mods, but thats the major. Let me know what your experience has been, Thanks.

The extension just allows you to remove in reinstall it easier. I would personally get it with the extension.

I just installed one yesterday. Bought used from a member on the site with no extension. Had a question and Kennedy was VERY helpful on the phone. The power is definitely noticable SOP meter. I really don't see the need for the extension because if I take my truck to the dealer I leave my mods on anyway...
I noticed quite a bit more whistle which I thought was nice!

I took my truck in for a reflash the other day and removed the E/J and BS. It only took 10min max. to remove both thanks to the extension. The Boost sensor is a RPITA to get to.

Glad you got it ok, and glad it's working out well for you.

The extension is NOT necessary. :exactly:

In the couple months I had mine, there was no reason to disconnect it. When I did take it off to sell, I had it off in a matter of minutes. Is an 18 minute savings *that* much??;)

What is your time worth to you? I wasn't going to get the extension at first, but I sure am glad I did. It isn't hard to install at all, 20-30 minutes max with adequate tools (screwdriver, long needle nose pliars, coat hanger, etc..).

I have had mine off/on 2 or 3 times since I got it and each time I was under the hood about 20 seconds, thanks to the extension.

You will like what it does for your truck whatever you decide.:D

Can't wait. Just ordered mine today. Anyone know how long it takes to ship. Realize it might be longer with the holidays.

How many MPG does the BS cost you, just curious?

Velocity Mark- the real question is "How much mpg will you get in addition to stock" for adding a Boost Stick? If you're not towing anything it's a gain in MPG over stock. If you're towing heavy, then you'll lose a little MPG. BS and Stock program yielded some turb barking and less mpg. No program that is. If you run a program like Pred 2.02 or Edge I hear results vary. I can only speak of about my experiences with Predator v2.02 and BS and BS with no program. The mpg towing a 10,000 trailer in the steep Sierra Nevada's are about the same as stock with the pred and BS so far. Untested yet in summer conditions, only in cool winter conditions. v2.02 hasn't been out long enough for summer trials.

Hey CAMike do you tow up 168 to the lakes? I have a house in Dinkey Creek. Will most likely be up there next week.

Get the extension! Best money you'll spend this month if you have to disconnect. What isn't too clear in the instructions is that one part of the connector is fixed to the block or something WAY down there with only creative ways to reach down. I ended up loosening the belt and unbolting the a/c compressor (actually very easy to do and good to know how the belt works in case you're doing it at night on the side of the road.)
