I have spent four hours trying to install my manual high idle kit and I can't get the pin in the slot. It says you will need to remove the pin lock from the other side of the plug according to the DIY section directions but I don't know what it looks like or anything. This is a serious pain in the a$$ to install. I might just say f it and not even do it.

Sounds to me like you have a pin for the LB7. The factory plug is different on the LLY and requires a smaller pin. The LB7 pin is too big.

I did the same thing, wasn't sure about the pinlock. It is actually on the end of the connector and pulls out. It's a piece of plastic that runs across the tops of the pins when they are in the connector. Look at the two small ends of the connector, one end has the piece that pulls out. Do that and the pin will slide right in.

If I remember right it is the little blue/green thing in this pic. I can't get the image to display but if you click on it it works

Finally got it. I had to trim the wire insulation back about 1/4" away from the pin and leave it bare to get it to slide in. This whole project is a nightmare. First when I pulled the plug out a little piece stuck inside and I had to get it out. It was like it was melted to the side inside the socket. Now I can't find the wire to solder to. There is a million green wires and I have already scraped and tested 4 and they are not it. I need pics of where the wire is so I can find it. I don't know how to use a multimeter so I am using a test light. what a nightmare.
