How difficult would it be to install an older gear drive 205 married transfer case to our E4OD? I can't think of any case thats stronger and they're pretty easy to find. They've gotta be alot stronger than the chain drive aluminum case we've got now! Does anybody know?

i dunno, these t cases are pretty strong. Losts of guys making 4x4 passes down the track with some pretty rediculous horsepower. Im more worried about u joints and driveshafts at this point.

Check out http://www.advanceadapters.com/, if they offer an adapter for your tranny then it would be really easy. I wouldn't do anything to the truck till you break it, the chain drive is probably stronger than you think, besides with the np 205 you give up a little low range.
