Make sure when you are comparing #'s you are comparing like #'s. Meaning I think PPE uses alot of numbers at the crank......BD uses numbers at the wheels I believe. Makes comparing PITA.
Duramaximizer is a preasure type box. The first LB7 boxes were of this type but most people moved away from this and on to adjusting other parameters. Dosnt make it good or bad just a peice of info.....

Yeah they had some problems with the pressure boxes causing some fuel to leak around the rails.

When you say its a pressure box, does that mean it just increases the pressure at the injectors? Sorry for all the questions, I am real good with the gassers but this my first diesel.

yes, sorry:o:.....it just increases your fuel pressure. The other programs alter how and when and how long the injectors remain open for.
I think alot of the early problems blamed on the pressure boxes werent all thier fault but I duno for sure? They did get bad initial rap though.

I am running the 06 Duramaximizer along with PPE's boost controller and let me tell you having the duramaximizer set at about 75% and the boost set to around 30lbs will pretty much blow your mind. I haven't put it on the Dyno yet but it feels really strong. It really makes the 37's feel like stock tires and then some. Yesterday I pulled onto the freeway and throttled it hard at about 50 and sent er' sideways. Granted it was wet out but the boost comes on so much sooner with the boost controller. It feels as if there's no turbo lag at all.
The Duramaximizer does require shims in the relief valve so keep that in mind since you will need to replace the valve when you are going to send it back to gm for warrantee service.
I did have a bit of "Fuel Knock" when I was only running the duramaximizer at the higher settings with stock boost so you may want to get both to really get the most out of the extra fueling that the duramaximizer provides.
PPE is also working on a programmer which should be pretty impressive and will likely offer the same functionality as the Bullydog. This product is in the works and should be out soon. Since I have much larger than stock tires the programmer would really benefit my vehicle. If you have larger than stock wheels and tires you may want to consider a programmer instead if you are on a budget.
All and all I would recommend the PPE stuff. Talk to Dan Grant, he has been really helpful and can set you up if you are interested.
