can someone give me the readers digest version on this stuff? This diesel stuff is all new to me, I am used to my Superchips in the 5.3 chevy and thats about it. Whats a good 1st step for the new truck? My bro has an 04 with banks and edge.... I have an 06 crew 4wd, now with 1000 miles.

Just make sure you remember it is a 2006. The 2005 LLY tuners and programmers will not work on your truck. And start reading, reading, reading. Almost any question you could ask has already been asked here at least once!

My best advice is WAIT.
Nobody in history of the Dmax has hit a home run first time up to the plate be it LB7 or LLY. The lesser performing units like Superchips or Hypertech seldom if ever have revisions, but that is because they are so simple and do so little.
Also follow the LBZ series mods as the 06 LLY uses the same ECM series.

thanks Kennedy.... I guess I am just a little impatient and I will do as you suggest... as far as "reading", a big thanks!!!! to those with that advice... it never crossed my mind? I could read all 50000 posts on here and have 60000 different ideas to confuse me... thats why I asked for the condensed version to set me straight from the get go. a little sarcasm, yet a response is appreciated... thank you for reals

If you have a specific question then ask away...But why would you want someone else to do your homework for you?
