My wife just called and told me she put 3.5 gallons of gasoline in my new d-max truck. She never drives it but had to use it while I had some work done to her car. There was a little under a 1/4 tank in the truck. What should I do. Can I just fill up with Diesel or do I need to drain the tank.

you need to drain the tank 3.5 may not hurt but any gas in the fuel will dilute it ans gas is not lubricated is injector damage would occour. had on in the other day with 5 gas of gas in it it ran but not good.you may be able to do it your self either try to syphon it out or disconect the fuel supply line at the fuel filter and pump the primer for ever and ever that little pump will work its but off to pump 3.5 gal but it could be done. change the filter as well .

Why not disconnect the line TO the filter & blow it out with low air pressure at the tank filler,like 3-5 lbs.
