On the SD website it says under the centerlink "for racing and off road use only" is this just so SD doesnt get in trouble if anything happens or does it actually affect the steering that much that it should not be used on a street driven truck?

after having it on my truck for about 20K miles, I would not go back to stock, and if you have your torsion bars cranked any at all, with the stock centerlink you can grab the front of the tire and push it in and out about an inch.-:t

Lots of folks run them daily...It will cut down on your turning radius.

If Any One Wants One Of These Centerlinks I Have A New One Extra. I Ordered 6 Of Them To Get A Better Price. I'll Sale For 350.00. They Work Grate I Drive Mine Daily. These Bars Are Good. Everyone That Pulls Or Drag Races Needs One. I Broke 3 Lt. Fr. Axels Befor, After Bar No Towin At All. Works Grate.

I drag raced just fine without one ;)

All stock components installed at the factory, 55k miles. Sleeves and dropped the torsion bars with some Rancho shocks up front to help tie down the nose. 0 issues

Did you even strap your front?

Sorry, this is off topic, but I am curious. Once the front is strapped, can it be left that way for driving on the road or does it need to be removed once you are through rcing or pulling?

straping will restric your turning, I wouldnt drive around with it like that.

Didnt strap it though. Lowered T bars and added tie rod sleeves and 60' ed in the 1.6's on 265 AT tires:D

Do any of you SD link users here a thump noise while turning at very slow speeds -- ie backing out of a parking spot etc...

I have a weird noise ever since I installed it, but I don't think it's a problem -- just noise. However, if it is a problem please let me know...

SethMckinney: Wasnt there a clunck from the steering shaft when turning? Try searching for it but dont hold me to that

ok, will it solve this problem...........when i am in 4 hi, do a hard launch, my wheels toe in badly, i have stock tie rods, stock centerlink, but i have a h.d. pitman and idler arm brace, also, i have a 8inch cognito lift and 37's, just wondering if it would fix this, thanks.

Don't trust me -- but Yes it helps deal with that.

Might be overkill, but is anybody running both contigo braces and the center-link, or is it not needed?

noreaster

Either use the braces or the centerlink, looks like the centerlink will be going on mine since the Fabtechs got recalled.
