Just curious hom much you Stanadyne users add to your tank. Place I bought it from said 3oz per 10 gallons.

thats about right.. I have 16oz bottles and I use 8oz each fill up of about 23-24 gallons.

If you go through enough buy the 5 Gal can and a 2.5 gal gas can and wing it.:cool:

those are 8oz each. it was cheaper for me to buy a case of 16oz bottles instead.

I bought a case from Southeast Power Systems in Florida. Good price and shipped quick.

For the Performance Formula, it's 2.7oz : 10gal.

I transfer the additive into one of the large containers (15 oz, I think) of Sta-Bil so I can measure it out accurately. Kind of a pain to do it 1 oz at a time, but it works for me.

If I did the math correctly it comes out to one ounce of Standyne for every 3.75 gallons of fuel.

That means that 3 oz. of Standyne treats 11.25 gallons.

So, I use 3 oz. for 11 gals, 6 for 22 gals and 7 oz. for a full 26 gal fillup.

Cost for me is a little less than 6 1/2 cents a gallon.

If I bought in bulk it would be a lot less.

The pint bottles of the Performance Formula treat 60 gallons. The bottle is marked in 15 gallon increments. I use half of the bottle each fill up which treats 30 gallons and I only manage to get 23 or so gallons in depending on how low I let it get. That is over treating I know, but it won’t hurt anything. When I empty four pint bottles I buy the half gallon size and refill the bottles. That saves a little $. If you have more than one truck or drive a lot the five gallon pail is even cheaper per treatment, but you would have to figure a way of filling the small bottles without spilling it and defeating the whole purpose.

I use an empty Stabil bottle to pour from. The large bottle has the 1 ounce shot . Just squeeze the bottle and pour into you tank, no mess.
