Ok so got truck back from shop and plugged the box back in and well...  , zippo.. Nothing, nada... Box will not respond..:shootself. Unplugged it checked wires, prongs, plug, connections, switch, etc... Plugged it back in and still zippo...:confuzeld.. Was told there was a possibility that box is dead and might have to be reprogrammed? Any ideas? :damnit1:
Going back to dealer to get my free detail since they left grease all over my seats.:banghead:.. Will check back. Waiting on phone call from Van Aaken too.. I will post results..
Thought I had the box sold too... Never fails with me..

Will the truck start, or is the whole thing dead when you plug in the box?

Truck starts but box will not "activate". Truck still runs fine, even when you turn the switch on to either setting, runs like stock. So I pulled it off, made a few calls and I am going to have it looked at.

IIRC, on the "stoopid box" an open or disconnected switch gives the "zero" setting... Have you tested the switch with a multimeter? Sounds like it is "open"...

Well according to what I was told earlier with the switch unhooked the box defaults to the 220 setting and it will not even do that. Truck runs the same with it plugged in or unhooked. Going to send the box in to have it checked out.. Will post back results when I know them..

I think that holds true with all the "normal" VA boxes. My old stoopid box was on the 0 setting with the switch unplugged. Have you talked to JK about this?

No I talked to VA, going to send it in and let them take a look at it..

I hope so, I was the one that was gonna buy it.:)

No switch = full HP setting. Unplug the switch and see what happens. On the JK version that is.

The VA defaults to the HIGH setting on the std series tunes and the LOW setting on the race tunes when the switch is unplugged.

I have yours and without the switch it is the high setting, motovet can confirm it.

Well box is on its way to VA, so we will see..

I have to say not true. VA is paranoid in the liability dept so all race tunes were built bass ackwards from the std tunes. You NEED the switch to select the high HP file rather than default to it.

Well I got my box back today, so we will see.. It is back in the truck and I will be driving it tomorrow. Hope that it works. Truck started right back up after install with box on and seems to be ok. Not sure what the deal was. They said they would be in touch and told me to call if I had anymore issues. Said something about connection for the box and something regarding switch plate inside box. Not sure what all that meant but just hope it works..
