What can I do besides replace my exhaust, and air filter to make my Turbo louder??? I know the Cummins boys have a Turbo silencer ring what about our Duramax's????????????

No siliencer ring .... Replacing factory airbox with a AFE setup (for one choose) makes a significent differance ....

Just out of curiosity...
Why would you want to make it louder. GM went through much research to make these engines as quiet as possible. I guess I just don't understand.

Swiss cheesing the air box does very little if any to make it louder. The AFE stage II will really make it whisle nice under hard pulls.


I have done both, and will stick with the AFE II. very nice indeed! An opened up exhaust will also help some, by making it breath better.

Banks exhaust sounds great, but won't change the turbo whistle much if any. My turbo seems louder with the uni filter installed in the stock air box
