I have installed the cat filter head in the alternator position and used the 1N-3789 filter head. I used the parts list from Nassdmax's install post a while back. I have the intermittent problem with stalling a few seconds after starting. I just press the oem pump about 10 times(no need to open up any bleeder valve or anything) and it will start and keep running. I am wondering if the cat primer mechanism has a check ball or check valve in it that would keep the filter full when it is shut off. I believe that some fuel is siphoned off by the hose leading to the injection pump's being "down hill" from the cat. I have sealed the entire unit in silicone II(rated up to 400 degrees) around all fittings and bolts on the cover as well as the filter itself. This seemed to lengthen the time between the need to pump. I am wondering about this check valve idea because I read on another thread that discussed modification of the stock filter mount and mentioned a ball inside the oem filter mount that was a check valve. I also wondered if the Permacool head or others that have been installed in this location have a built in check valve.
Does anyone have the part number for the primer for this filter head?
Thanks
