I just got back from the dealer for a air bag light that came on 3 weeks ago they gave me the codes
B-1000 ECU Malfunction
B-0018 Deployment loop voltage out of range
B-0022 Driver frontal deployment loop voltage out of range
B-0024 Driver deployment loop resistance low

They told me the computer was fried and $500.00 might fix it but it might cook the new computer. As far as I know the truck has never been wrecked, I can't belief that this being a safety issue its not covered even though the 36K warranty has expired. Hell its a 04 with 45K I opted not to fix it any ideas on what a ECM will cost of the internet and how hard to replace it.

if you only have 45000 miles call customer customer assistance and complain to them about having to pay for it with 45000 miles and maybe you can get gm to help out. shoot for the whole thing at first

'B' series codes and they want to replace the engine computer?. Find another dealer.

Body control module (BCM) is what you should be looking at.
