: Cabela’s Cab Lights = Hi-Five?
tundracamper 02-25-2004, 09:37 AM Does anyone know if the Late Chevy Style Cab Lights at Cabela's (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/horizontal-item.jhtml?id=0019952521306a&navAction=jump&navCount=23&indexId=&podId=0019952&catalogCode=IE&parentId=&parentType=&rid=&cmCat=search&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fcatalog%2Fitem-link.jhtml.2_A&_DAV=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcontent%2FPod%2F01%2F99%2F5 2%2Fp019952ii01.jpg&hasJS=true) for $59.99 are the same as the Hi-Five (Pacer) Cab Light at Auto Barn (http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/higfivligkit.html)?
I like Cabela's. However, the consensus seems to be that the Hi-Five work well and I don't want to get something from Cabela's if it's not what I expect.
Thanks!Edited by: tundracamper
dmaxalliTech 02-25-2004, 09:43 AM those sure look like the lights made by Pacer. I think they are the same, but not positive
The stock ones are made by Blazer
dMaxCruiser 02-25-2004, 10:02 AM There's nothing special about the Pacer kit (I got one). I suspect that all these aftermarket kits are being made in the same factory and just packaged differently.
I'd like to hear from someone who bought the $25 kit from Harbor Freight. It looked as good as any in the picture.

For what it's worth I called HF some time ago and had a gal lookup the mfr. in their system. She said the HF lights showed a mfr. of "American Manuafacturing" ... I agree, their all probably the same kit and your paying for the name on the pkg.
mwallace61 02-26-2004, 01:36 PM How big a job in the installation of these puppies?

About this big: http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4566&PN=1
Seriously, its not bad. I took my time and spent about 2-3 hours total. It's easy after you get over the paranoia of drilling holes in your roof.
BushWacker 02-26-2004, 08:52 PM Very Nice. Thinking about doing the same to my new 04. WIll probably need more than 1 glass of scotch before putting the drill to the cab roof.

Rcher 02-28-2004, 10:00 PM One good thing about buying from Cabela's ... "satisfaction guaranteed"
I have been buying products from them for years and have never been turned down if I wanted to return/exchange any product. They do an excellent job at customer service.
tundracamper 03-03-2004, 01:21 PM As a follow-up, I ordered the lights last week from Cabela's. They are in fact the Pacer Hi-Five kit.
