used 4x4 today to get up a driveway and tires were spinning pretty good barley made it up and half way up my abs lite comes on. come back to truck in 5 min and its off any ideas?

I believe that happens when one tire spins faster than the other..(before locker engages).Thats what my buddy (He's a tech at the dealer)told me...Anybody else?
