hey guys, I been around a while and I finally have something to post about, I seen online somebody has been selling factory parts to make a truck with factory pwr windows/locks have "factory" keyless entry. The kit includes a passenger door switch/module and 2 key fobs. the question is, is this all you need to make it work? also does it have to be activated at a dealer once installed? anyone have any thoughts or experience?

Personally, I would put my money into a good remote start with keyless entry.

Yea, I saw that ebay listing too... however, I called a couple of local dealers and they told me that only the 01 and 02 trucks were upgradable to keyless entry. The 03 trucks weren't because of the body control module. figures.


As for the auto start, It's a six speed and I would rather be in the truck when she fires, just a personal preferance. thanks Max Power

Rattlewagon, There are special remote starters for standards now. They work fantastic, especially the astro start.

Personally, I would put my money into a good remote start with keyless entry.
