After sending my body guy through the hassle of painting my tailgate bucket,( handle was chromed) I looked and found that the tailgate bucket and handle are offered in Pewter, and a few other colors. (I think all the colors that the Denali pickup offers)

The handle etc, all still have the texture even though they are painted.
